In your opinion, it’s wrong. Facts are wrong. Opinions are neither right nor wrong.
War is not how governments test each other. They are a means in which to gain money, power and influence, regardless of who the opponent is or even becoming victorious. Take a look at ISIS. They have declared war on… everyone. They know they cannot win, but they still wish to gain something. Like many others have pointed out, ISIS is trying to get the US involved so they can gain sympathy in the form of finances, weaponry and soldiers to gain power and influence in the Middle East.
I agree that no large group of people changes without a loss. I feel as though the situation with Israel and Palestine is that the changes that are being made have become what the constant is. A rocket is fired by some nutjobs, the Israeli government tries to patriate land; both of which are losses, both leading to the exact same “changes,” air strikes and rockets attacks.
I guess the point I was trying to illustrate was that the responses on both sides have become virtually engineered, much in the same way any random act of violence against a US citizen acts as a conduit for the military-industrial complex in the US. Any business or person that profits from violence and war is going to hope for more profits aka war.
The only way to stop the violence in that region is to look to those who are involved in the process behind the violence, not just those wearing camo toting AKs.
