To be honest, you come across as one of those very vocal “New Age” types. “No chemicals, no additives, no modern technology!” I understand if you opt not to participate in that stuff, but seriously, calling it rubbish? That’s just putting down the rest of society, that uses that stuff. I guarantee you there are many mothers in third-world countries who only WISH they could have such technologies (so their babies wouldn’t constantly be dying), and here you are, putting down other people who don’t even have that privilege by calling the privileges we have “rubbish.”

Also, I understand natural births and midwives, but for the life of me, I cannot understand why you would purposely opt to deliver a baby by candlelight unless you happened to be in a blackout. That just seems so…pretentious to me.
