You’re being incredibly misleading.

Congress did not pass a declaration of war, they approved of it but for reasons unknown they never followed the constitutional requirement to declare war, most likely because the ‘enemy’ was ill-defined (read: virtually non-existant).

The UN is not the United States, the UN is the world, the world is much saner than America.

1) Bush was polling REALLY well because Americans supported the wars he got them into, the invasion of Afghanistan gave him a huge bump in his ratings, the invasion of Iraq did the same thing. Like it or not Ameircans supported the bloodthirsty policies of the bush adminsitration
2) Congress supported the war
