There are political differences between different political parties. Political differences always have an impact on the population. Just like how there are clear differences between Democrat & Republican voters in the USA. I wouldn’t say the differences have a huge impact on the Kurds. There was a period (20 years ago) where it did, but that was a very hectic (and long gone) period. Kurdish PKK freedom fighters & Peshmerga of the KDP are actually fighting side by side these days, which has, obviously, strengthened unity among Kurds :).
